This beautiful solid brick home was built in the early 1900s. The existing lounge, master bedroom and entry required some maintenance works – the existing door heights were all raised to 2400mm and new panel doors were installed. An existing brick fireplace was removed to allow for the master bedroom robe and En-suite to be remodeled.
A powder room, has been decorated with black floor to ceiling tiles in the shower, modern wall paper and “washstand”.
The large laundry/mud room with beautifully fitted out cabinets, butler sink, built in appliances and overhead drying racks has direct access to the garage.
The shaker style kitchen cabinets, with stone bench tops, flow through the meal area giving the room more depth. Two sets of tall, highlite, double glazed doors open onto the outdoor entertaining area, landscaped garden and pool. Plaster reveal arches were used to separate the living room from the kitchen/dining while keeping the open plan feeling. The existing stairs were redirected and a skylight added to create a light well.
The existing 1st floor was demolished to make way for a complete “kids retreat” floor. With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, powder room, sitting room and balcony this is a wonderful zoned area. A new large double garage was constructed to match the existing front facade of the house.
